Ricardo Riquelme

Ricardo works within the Sustainability Sector providing strategic advice on environmental matters such as sustainability, decarbonization, environmental crisis management, climate change, etc.

Before joining VINCES, he worked for Government and Administration at the local and regional level. Where he held the position of 1st Deputy Mayor and was responsible for the Area of Government of Urbanism and Environment of the City of Majadahonda. Moreover , Ricardo has held the position of Councilor for the Environment of the City Council de Las Rozas, Managing Director of the Madrid Institute of rural, agricultural and food R&D and General Director of the Environment of the Government of the Community of Madrid.

Academic background

• Leadership Program in Public Management by IESE.
• Master in Engineering and Environmental Management from the School of Industrial Organization (EOI).
• Graduated in Law from the National University of Distance Education (UNED).
• Degree in Biology from the Complutense University of Madrid.
